Lone workers may face delayed assistance, limited communication, changing conditions, and increased exposure to workplace hazards. Without reliable procedures, clear accountability, and effective emergency planning, isolated work can create serious risks for employees, supervisors, and organizations.
The Lone Worker Safety course covers recognition of lone work, Canadian legal duties and worker rights, hazard assessment, check-in procedures, emergency escalation, safety technology, and the development of trusted lone worker safety programs.
Learners will strengthen their ability to identify risks, follow communication procedures, respond to emergencies, and support safer systems for employees working alone. Certification is provided upon successful completion of the course.
