Professional health and social care depends on safe practice, clear communication, respectful relationships, and a strong understanding of individual needs. Poor communication, missed safeguarding concerns, weak accountability, and inconsistent care can place vulnerable individuals at risk and reduce the quality of services provided.
The Health and Social Care course introduces the foundations of professional care practice, effective communication, relationship-building, vulnerability, risk, safeguarding responsibilities, service quality, accountability, and professional development within modern Canadian care settings.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to communicate effectively, recognize vulnerability and risk, follow safeguarding procedures, support safe and person-centred care, and contribute to accountable care services. Certification is provided upon successful completion of the course.
